FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE Hunts beyond Chapter 1
Named extras from previews — Gilgamesh to Sephiroth — without pretending the full map is playable today.
FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE is a single-player HD-2D campaign first. The story Square Enix rebuilt from the Lapis arc of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is the spine: eight crystals, Grandshelt’s airships, the Earth Shrine, then Dilmagia, Olderion, Zoldaad, and Mysidia. Around that spine, previews have named a set of extras: Gilgamesh, a Colosseum, the Chamber of Arms with legendary weapons including Ultima Weapon, esper trials, Aileen’s adamantite forging, and a Sephiroth challenge encounter that pays a special reward. The dedicated hunt page is the Sephiroth guide.
This page is a preview catalog, not a spoiler walkthrough. The full game launches October 22, 2026. The Chapter 1 demo is playable today, lasts about three to five hours, and is not these hunts. If a video thumbnail promises Sephiroth in the opening inn, it is wrong. Use the Demo Guide for what you can actually finish now, Getting Started for first hours, and the Guides Hub for the rest of the index.
How to read a preview list
Square Enix and Lancarse have shown systems, not a completionist checklist with hour stamps per fight. Preview length for the whole game is about 30 to 40 hours on the main path and 60 to 80 if you chase extras. Treat the high end as the bucket these hunts sit in, not as a promise that Gilgamesh alone is a ten-hour DLC. When the retail campaign is out, this page will gain routes. Until then, the job is to name the toys so you can ignore clickbait that invents more.
World geography for the regions these hunts will live in sits on the world page. Party members who will walk into them sit on the party page. Crystals you will wear sit on How to Get Visions and the Vision roster.
Gilgamesh
Gilgamesh is the series’ recurring weapons collector, and Resonance has named him among its side attractions. Expect a hunt, a duel, or a chase — the exact structure has not been published in a form this wiki will invent. Bring a Vision kit that can stagger, because the Combat Guide still applies: no ATB, timeline left to right, weakness into gauge, Sweeping Stagger into Extra Phase. Do not build a Chapter 1 team around a Gilgamesh you cannot reach in the demo.
If you know him from other titles, leave those scripts at the door. This is a rewritten Lapis scenario, not a copy-paste of a previous across-the-void cameo. When a Sanctum or a side map marks his name, go in prepared, not nostalgic.
Colosseum
A Colosseum is on the list. That usually means ranked fights, a gatekeeper NPC, and a reason to keep a second Vision loadout in your pocket. It is not confirmed as a multiplayer lobby and Resonance remains a single-player RPG, so plan for an AI bracket, not a friend code. Use the cost cap on Jobs and Abilities to keep a stagger kit and a defensive kit without carrying every learned skill at once.
Tents, mist potions, Phoenix Downs, and Remedies from the Pre-order Guide are the kind of inventory you spend on a losing streak, not on the Earth Shrine tutorial. Claim them from Mitra’s postbox in the retail game.
Chamber of Arms and Ultima Weapon
The Chamber of Arms is the legendary-weapon room. Ultima Weapon is the name Square Enix has put on that list. Other legendary pieces will live there; we will not invent a full smithing tree or a fake drop rate. Aileen, the weaponsmith Vision who uses Pilebunker and forges with adamantite, is the crystal most likely to matter in this loop. She is one of 26 Visions, earned through Sanctums of Light and story events, not a gacha 5-star.
If you want her, play the campaign until the Sanctum or scene that grants her, then feed adamantite when the forge exists. That is preview-level advice on purpose. Rankings that pretend she is S-tier or C-tier before the full game ships belong on the Vision tier list as early opinion, not as a Chamber of Arms walkthrough.
Sephiroth is a challenge, not a starter crystal
Sephiroth appears as a challenge encounter for a special reward. He is not a starting Vision. He is not in the Grandshelt tutorial party with Rain, Lasswell, and Fina. He is not waiting behind the first innkeeper. If you want that fight, finish the systems that actually teach you stagger — timeline, weaknesses, Sweeping Stagger, Extra Phase — then come back when the retail map opens the door.
The reward has been described as special, not itemized in a briefing this wiki can cite. We will not invent a weapon name or a secret twenty-seventh Vision to fill the blank. Bring the best four crystals you own, not a screenshot of a roster you have not unlocked. Early party talk is on the party tier list. The Characters hub collects both humans and crystals.
Espers as side bursts, not a second campaign
Ifrit (Hellfire), Shiva (Diamond Dust), Titan (Gaia’s Wrath), Siren (wind and water), and Ramuh (Judgment Bolt) are the named espers. You fight through three turns of the esper’s presence, then the finishing move. That loop can sit inside the story and inside side trials; previews have shown both flavors without publishing a full esper arena list. Hold the burst for a pack you cannot Sweeping-Stagger with Visions alone.
Espers are not Visions. They do not occupy the one-crystal-per-character slot. They do not replace bond and affinity. If a Sanctum gives you Cloud, that is a Vision. If a shrine gives you Ifrit, that is an esper. Keep the words straight when you read a trailer on the trailers page.
Aileen, adamantite, and what not to grind in the demo
Aileen’s forge is a reason to pick up adamantite when the world starts dropping it. It is not a reason to farm Chapter 1 random encounters against a level cap. The demo transfers a save; it does not transfer a completed Chamber of Arms. Spend the opening hours on the timeline, one Vision, and the Earth Shrine, then leave forging for the week you have the full game in hand.
Controls stay on Controls. Editions and the November 6 early-purchase window stay on the Pre-order Guide and the editions tool. PC specs stay on system requirements. Dates stay on the release date page and Updates. Official listings stay on Links.
None of these hunts are homework for the demo. They are a map of toys Square Enix has already named so you can ignore clickbait that invents more. Play Chapter 1 for the Earth Crystal. Leave Gilgamesh, the Colosseum, and Sephiroth for the week you actually have the full game in hand.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers drawn from Square Enix briefings and the Chapter 1 demo.
Is this side content in the Chapter 1 demo?
No. The demo is the opening chapter, about three to five hours, with some level restrictions. Gilgamesh, the Colosseum, the Chamber of Arms, and Sephiroth belong to the full game that launches October 22, 2026. See the Demo Guide.
Is Sephiroth a Vision I can start with?
No. He is a challenge encounter with a special reward, not a starting Vision. Starter crystals and Sanctums are on How to Get Visions.
What espers are confirmed?
Ifrit (Hellfire), Shiva (Diamond Dust), Titan (Gaia's Wrath), Siren (wind and water), and Ramuh (Judgment Bolt). You play three turns, then the finishing move. Combat context is on the Combat Guide.
What is the Chamber of Arms?
A legendary-weapon side system. Ultima Weapon is named. Aileen's adamantite forging and Pilebunker sit in the same preview neighborhood. No drop table has been published for this wiki to cite.
How long does completionist play take?
Preview estimates are about 30 to 40 hours for the main story and 60 to 80 hours if you chase extras. Those are estimates, not a timed checklist. First hours remain in Getting Started.
