FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE is a single-player HD-2D RPG from Square Enix and Lancarse. This hub is the roster map: the knights who leave Grandshelt, the Vision crystals they equip, and the nations of Lapis they cross while the Sworn Six of Paladia hunt eight elemental crystals. The full game launches October 22, 2026 (Steam lists October 23 in Japan). A Chapter 1 demo is playable today, and that save transfers into the retail campaign.

Use the three pages below as the character database. Party Members covers Rain, Lasswell, Fina, Jake, Lid, and later Sakura, including English and Japanese voice credits. The Vision Roster lists the 26 crystallized heroes — one Vision per character — from Cloud and the Warrior of Light to original names such as Charlotte, Leah, Tronn, and Aileen. World of Lapis walks Grandshelt, Dilmagia, Olderion, Zoldaad, Mysidia, Mitra’s inn postbox, and the Sanctums of Light.

Who travels with you

Rain commands Grandshelt’s airship squadron. Lasswell is his deputy and childhood friend, adopted into the same household. After the barrier around the Earth Shrine wanes, a royal decree sends both knights inside. Veritas of the Dark shatters the Earth Crystal, wrecks their airship, and later assaults the capital. Fina, an enigmatic maiden tied to that crystal, joins the pursuit. Jake leads rebels against the Zoldaad Empire. Lid is an airship engineer from Dirnado who wants the Cid title in Dilmagia. Sakura, a Mysidian sage who looks like a child and speaks like an ancient, arrives later.

Party members are the people you swap on the field. Visions are equipment: one crystal per fighter, granting stats, abilities, and a cinematic Resonance when you land a Sweeping Stagger. Do not mix the two lists. Sephiroth is a challenge encounter for a special reward, not a default recruit. For kit order, open the Vision tier list and the party tier list.

How the roster fights

Combat is turn-based with a visible timeline and no ATB bar. Hit elemental weaknesses to empty stagger gauges. Stagger every foe in one turn to open Extra Phase, then spend a single Resonance. Jobs and ability cost caps decide which Vision skills stay equipped after you switch crystals. Read the combat guide and the jobs guide before you lock a build. Controls cover menu flow if you are coming from an ATB title.

Where the story walks

Lapis is a world of crystals, airships, dwarven forges, and magitek. Grandshelt is the kingdom of knights. Dilmagia, the Machinopolis, builds airships and hands the Cid name to each generation’s finest engineer. Olderion, the Aquapolis, is guarded by the Wardens of the Waters. The Zoldaad Empire hoards the Fire Crystal and mass-produces magitek. Mysidia, the Magiapolis, hides the Ice Crystal behind rumor and fairy tale. Sanctums of Light around the map unlock legacy Final Fantasy Visions. Mitra is the first town many players rest in after the shrine; check the inn postbox while you are there. Optional hunts and character episodes live in side content.

The Chapter 1 demo is the right place to meet Rain, Lasswell, and Fina before the rest of the roster boards the airship. Follow the demo walkthrough so you do not skip Mitra, early Visions, or the first Sanctum. New players should start with Getting Started and the Guides Hub. Demo notes sit on demo launch; the calendar is on the release date page.

What to open next

If you care about voices, roles, and who joins when, stay on Party Members. If you are hunting Cloud, Terra, Clive, or Aileen’s Pilebunker, open the Vision Roster and how to get Visions. If you want continents, crystals, and the Sworn Six, read World of Lapis. Compare editions and system requirements on the pre-order guide if you have not picked a SKU. Trailers live under updates. Store and official pages sit on links.

Keep this hub as the index only. Party, Visions, and Lapis each have their own page so names, crystals, and recruit rules never collide. When Square Enix confirms another Vision or nation, it lands on the matching child page first — not in a recycled closing paragraph here.
