Base de Données d'Équipement

This database covers every confirmed weapon, armor piece, and accessory in FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE as of September 2026. The full equipment list populates after the October 22, 2026 launch; this page compiles what Square Enix has published in trailers, press briefings, and hands-on previews.

Equipment in Resonance is organized into three slots: weapons, armor, and accessories. Each piece has base stats (attack, defense, magic) and sometimes passive effects. Aileen’s adamantite forging system allows weapon upgrades in postgame.

This page is a catalog, not a tier list. For build recommendations, see the Vision tier list and the party tier list.

Weapons

Weapons define your character’s base attack power and often carry elemental or status properties. The confirmed weapon types from pre-release footage:

Swords

  • Iron Sword — Base starting weapon for Rain and Lasswell
  • Flame Sword — Fire-element sword found in Zoldaad territory
  • Ice Blade — Ice-element sword found in Mysidia
  • Buster Sword (Cloud’s) — Physical plus lightning, obtained through Cloud’s Vision

Katanas

  • Murasama — High attack katana, late-game acquisition
  • Kotetsu — Balanced katana with earth properties

Staves

  • Healing Staff — Base weapon for Fina’s white mage role
  • Wizard Staff — Higher magic stat for Leah or Y’shtola Visions
  • stave of Light — Holy-element staff from a Sanctum reward

Guns

  • Imperial Gun — Fire-aspect gun from Zoldaad, used by Amelia Vision
  • Long Range Rifle — Physical damage with Paralysis chance

Pilebunker

  • Aileen’s signature weapon. Used with the Aileen Vision. Adamantite forging upgrades this in postgame.

Special weapons

  • Knight’s Greatsword — Pre-order bonus weapon
  • Ultima Weapon — Chamber of Arms legendary weapon
  • Archmage Staff — Digital Deluxe bonus

Armor

Armor defines your defense and magic resistance. Confirmed armor pieces:

Light armor

  • Leather Armor — Base defense, available early
  • Chain Mail — Improved defense, Zoldaad shops
  • Mage’s Robe — Magic resistance and MP boost

Heavy armor

  • Iron Armor — Solid all-around defense
  • Plate Mail — High defense, found in Dilmagia
  • Adamantite Armor — Postgame heavy armor, upgraded through Aileen’s forging

Accessories

  • Master’s Ring — Pre-order or Digital Deluxe bonus
  • Chestplate of Preparation — EXP boost, pre-order bonus
  • Blessed Cuirass — Gil boost, early-purchase bonus through November 6, 2026
  • Magicite Shard — Pre-order bonus, awakening material
  • Mastery Ring — Digital Deluxe bonus
  • Mist Ether — Early-purchase bonus, MP restoration

Aileen’s Adamantite Forging

Aileen is the weaponsmith Vision. Her forge system allows you to upgrade weapons using adamantite — a material dropped by dangerous enemies and earned through side content. The Pilebunker is her signature weapon and the primary target for forging.

Forging upgrades:

  • Base damage increase
  • Passive effect enhancement
  • Elemental property addition or upgrade

The exact upgrade tree is confirmed in the full game. Based on pre-release briefings, the forge is a postgame loop tied to Chamber of Arms completion and dangerous enemy drops.

Acquisition locations

Early game (Chapter 1-2):

  • Iron Sword, Healing Staff, Leather Armor — Grandshelt shops
  • First Sanctum weapons — Reward from initial Sanctum of Light visit

Mid game (Chapter 3-4):

  • Dilmagia shops — Plate Mail, balanced weapons
  • Olderion shops — Water-resistant gear
  • Zoldaad drops — Flame Sword, Imperial Gun, Chain Mail

Late game (Chapter 5-6):

  • Mysidia shops — Ice Blade, Wizard Staff, Mage’s Robe
  • Post-Zoldaad drops — Adamantite Armor

Postgame:

  • Colosseum — Exclusive weapons and armor
  • Chamber of Arms — Ultima Weapon and legendary pieces
  • Esper trials — Esper-specific weapons

Passive effects

Some equipment carries passive effects that are always active:

  • EXP Boost — Chestplate of Preparation (pre-order)
  • Gil Boost — Blessed Cuirass (early purchase)
  • Limit Burst Boost — Archwitch’s Grimoire (Digital Deluxe)
  • Elemental Resist — Various resistance accessories
  • Status Immunity — Rare accessories from Colosseum

Passive effects do not stack from multiple pieces of the same type. A second EXP Boost accessory does not double the bonus.

Equipment tips

For physical characters (Rain, Lasswell, Cloud, Clive):

  • Prioritize attack power and elemental properties
  • Sword-type weapons with matching Vision elements
  • Heavy armor for boss fights, light armor for trash

For magic characters (Fina, Terra, Tronn, Shantotto):

  • Prioritize magic stat and MP pool
  • Staff-type weapons for healers and mages
  • Accessory slots for MP management

For support characters:

  • Balanced gear with status immunity accessories
  • Accessories that boost party-wide effects
  • Armor with resistance to common boss debuffs

Common questions

Are there equipment upgrades exclusive to the Colosseum? Yes. The Colosseum has exclusive weapons and armor not available in shops or through forging. These pieces often have superior passive effects.

Can I upgrade Aileen’s Pilebunker? Yes. Aileen’s adamantite forging system upgrades the Pilebunker and other weapons in postgame. Adamantite is earned through side content and dangerous enemy drops.

Do pre-order bonuses include equipment? Yes. The Magitek Airship pack includes the Knight’s Greatsword and Chestplate of Preparation. Digital Deluxe includes the Archwitch’s Grimoire and Mastery Ring. See the Pre-order Guide for full bonus lists.

Is there equipment specific to Visions? Some weapons are tied to specific Vision kits. Cloud’s Buster Sword is obtained through Cloud’s Vision progression. Aileen’s Pilebunker is her signature weapon. Most general equipment works across all characters regardless of equipped Vision.

What is the best early game equipment? In Chapter 1, prioritize the first Sanctum weapon reward and the Iron Sword from Grandshelt shops. Do not grind for better gear before Mitra — the stagger system matters more than gear at this stage.
